Mathematics can be considered as one of the core disciplines underpinning the diverse fields in science and engineering. Insight provides consulting around a large range of study design, data acquisition and mathematical modelling techniques including:

 Dr Mark Griffin has been exploring the role of mathematics in engineering since he started his PhD in 1996. The majority of this time has been spent working with magnetic resonance for chemical spectroscopy and medical imaging at the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia), McGill University (Montreal, Canada), Stanford University (Stanford, USA), and Novartis (Basel, Switzerland). Other applications Mark has worked on include:

• Modelling vegetation regrowth in Papua New Guinea for Exxon Oil

• Monitoring water quality for Seqwater (in their 28 reservoirs in South-East Queensland, Australia)
