Transportation and Logistics
Insight provides a range of consulting and training services for clients in Transportation and Logistics.
Transport engineers are responsible for planning, designing and overseeing the construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects relating to transport networks, such as roads, bridges, mass transit stations, railways, airports and harbours. The work of transport engineers aims to optimise traffic flow, improve mobility and safety, and minimise harmful emissions in all transport systems, at efficient cost. Logistics is a part of supply chain management that deals with the efficient forward and reverse flow of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption according to the needs of customers. Data science and mathematical modelling are needed to extract and communicate deep insights from proposed construction, to monitor and control real-time traffic, and to identify and manage risks as early as possible.
Insight has significant experience with the science and engineering sector. Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, serves on the Gold Coast committee for Engineers Australia. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science and Mathematics), Bachelor of Computer Engineering (Honours), is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and a Certified Professional with the Australian Computer Society. Insight is also a Microsoft Business Partner.
