Biomedical Engineering
Insight provides a range of consulting and training services for clients in the Biomedical Engineering sector.
Biomedical engineers focus on advances in technology and medicine to develop new devices and equipment for improving human health. Data science and mathematical modelling are needed to extract clinical meaning from complex devices and data types (both during the stages of early prototyping and clinical use). Within these studies two key question explore biomedical devices as the focus of research (studies into the quality and safety of devices) and biomedical devices as a tool (using medical devices to collect data in a clinical trial into human or animal health).
Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, has over 20 years’ experience working on data science applications in the biomedical sector. These have predominantly explored medical imaging applications, but have also explored areas such as genetics and genomics, spectroscopy, and a large number of clinical trials. Insight has significant experience with the science and engineering sector. Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, serves on the Gold Coast committee for Engineers Australia. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science and Mathematics), Bachelor of Computer Engineering (Honours), is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and a Certified Professional with the Australian Computer Society. Insight is also a Microsoft Business Partner.
